Handwriting without tears

In the coming months we will be using a fun interactive program called Handwriting without tears. We will use wooden lines and curves to make letters and Mat Man! There are really fun songs that go along with each activity.

Recycled crayons

To celebrate Valentine's Day we made heart and circle rainbow crayons

Here's how we did it:

Peel crayons

Break crayons

Place in any shape muffin tin

Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crayons are melted

Take out to cool completely 

Cooking

The past few weeks we have been following recipes and cooking in class.

Playdough Recipe

2 Cups Flour

1 Cup salt

2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar

2 Tablespoons oil

Have an adult slowly add- 2 cups boiling water

Add a few drops of food coloring and knead

Gluten Free Playdough 

1 1/4 cups rice flour

3/4 cups cornstarch

1/2 cup salt

2 tablespoons cream of tartar

1 1/2 cups boiling water

Food coloring

Waffles yum!!!
